We research and gather stories about people, communities, places, and work.

Fieldwork supported The Kings Fund and The RCN Foundation in an auto ethnographical study of twenty two newly qualified and registered nurses and midwives across the UK. We worked on the gathering of stories, design, short films and final event.

We spent time in Leeds, Plymouth, East Croydon, Gloucestershire and Coventry, documenting partnership work between the NHS, local authorities and the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sectors. We made 5 short films that highlight the progress made by this work.

Class Divide is a powerful podcast series that exposes educational inequality in the UK. Through two years of documentary work, it sheds light on education in underprivileged areas such as East Brighton estates of Whitehawk, Manor Farm and Bristol Estate. As part of the Class Divide campaign, it inspired a major policy change in the city of Brighton and Hove.

Working together with Self-Other, we supported ten carers in an auto-ethnography project. The end result, an anthology and webinar.

We were commissioned to research and produce a series of short films that told the story about asset-based community development (ABCD) for local authorities in the UK.

Our most recent Beyond Work study documents a day in the life of a secondary school teacher, undertaken through February 2020, a month before all schools in England were closed in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

From concept to research, production and scriptwriting, we delivered two series of a documentary style podcast and multiple webinars for salesforce.org

During the initial 8-week lockdown between April and June 2020, we supported members of The Bevy team to take part in a research project. They wanted to capture the experience as they dealt with the emotional and practical challenges of lockdown and then looked towards reopening.
